Happy 10 Loop I felt pretty good today. My inner thigh was still hurting, at times worse than last run. I know I could push my pace a little more if it weren’t for my hurt leg. Around Country Club Manor sorry I forgot to log this yesterday. 2 miles EZ, 2 miles tempo, 2 miles EZ. Felt pretty good. Inner thigh was definitely more uncomfortable during tempo miles. I had to slow down once during tempo because of the pain, but once it subsided I speed up and had no other problems the rest of workout. 00:56:38.00 6.05 9:21 07/09/08

Test run HAPPY BIRTHDAY COACH (yesterday)! Did you wear your scorpian tie? I hope so. I took Monday off because of continued pain, but gave it a try this morning. I was surprised that I had little pain until mile 3 and even then it wasn’t too bad. Right now I feel some achiness as I sit here. I have been icing and taking ibprofin. Tomorrow I should get my new shoes finally and I am convinced it will make a great difference in my shin and feet pain and even my inner thigh. 00:55:01.00 5.52 9:58 07/01/08
Circle around I set out to run 6 EZ. My shins and feet hurt bad. I slightly felt my left inner thigh, but not enough to change stride or stop. Kept running, stopped to stretch. After about 3.5 miles my inner thigh hurt more, and legs were still not working for me. I decided to stop and walked home making a total 5 miles. I’m feeling frustrated. Happy 10 Loop very warm. This was no party. I was very tired today and my legs felt heavy, but me and my legs got through it. 1 EZ, 4 X 5 tempo, 3 EZ, 2 tempo, 1 EZ. Gatorade at mile 6.5. Birds Attack I thought I was afraid of chasing dogs, but I had no idea that birds attacked innocent runners. I was chased by a red winged black bird three different times. My adrenaline was rushing and I was ridiculously hyper aware of every bird and chirp. What a run. First MN Run Country Club No pain no gain right? I guess I should have driven the route to discover the insane hills before I ran not to mention the massive head wind. 2 EZ, 5X6 minutes tempo efforts (i’m not sure if I was fast, but my HR was 175 or more due to the hills) 5.5 EZ=nothing easy about the way home.
