Slacker 7 Miler BAD run…
1. Bad weather all day. Pouring rain, so didn’t run until 7:30 PM (still was raining). Insane, I know.
2. Ran after dinner (Insane – didn’t learn my lesson before). The most intense sideaches ever for about 4.5 miles. Almost quit 7 different times because they were so bad. But I stuck to it and powered through them with the help of my secret weapon, the “Les Mis” soundtrack on the iPOD. (There’s nothing like Jean Val-Jean to get you pumped up in a run. I’m serious). Felt good about myself for not quitting.
4. Self esteem quickly dropped because I ended up cutting out a mile early because it was pitch dark and I didn’t feel safe (I estimated I would have had enough sunlight left had I not had those sideaches).
5. Will do an extra mile tomorrow with my strideouts to make up for it…

2. Never run an 11 miler after a big brunch for baby shower (sideaches)
3. Buy a fluid belt (never run an 11 miler holding your gatorade in one hand)
4. Never run an 11 miler with Maywood (hills workout street) at mile 10.5.
5. EZ run today; HR avg 149-153. A couple of times it was in the low 140’s however (maybe I was going too slow).
