| Slacker 7 Miler | BAD run… 1. Bad weather all day. Pouring rain, so didn’t run until 7:30 PM (still was raining). Insane, I know. 2. Ran after dinner (Insane – didn’t learn my lesson before). The most intense sideaches ever for about 4.5 miles. Almost quit 7 different times because they were so bad. But I stuck to it and powered through them with the help of my secret weapon, the “Les Mis” soundtrack on the iPOD. (There’s nothing like Jean Val-Jean to get you pumped up in a run. I’m serious). Felt good about myself for not quitting. 4. Self esteem quickly dropped because I ended up cutting out a mile early because it was pitch dark and I didn’t feel safe (I estimated I would have had enough sunlight left had I not had those sideaches). 5. Will do an extra mile tomorrow with my strideouts to make up for it… |
