Default Longer distance weekly training ideas - 12-08-2006, 12:53 PM

I'm looking for some training ideas for those of us who want to run longer distances (more miles) each week.

What would be the best way to approach each weekly run?
How much should I increase runs each week - 10% still?
And depending on how long the Saturday run is, what distances are best for the varying "long" runs on saturday?

I think I don't even know the right questions to ask here really

Ideas please!

Hello friend

It starts with a goal. What are you shooting for? If you are training for a 5K or a certain 10K, running the milage for a marathon is nor whats needed. Especially if your in pain! If your training for a marathon, which one? Then you can charge on! But the most important issue is not the millage, but to do it pain free! But your asking all the right questions
