Exclamation I need help!!! - 01-28-2007, 11:47 PM

I am getting married in about 6 weeks and i was thinking about taking up running in order to lose some of my belly fat and hoping that it will just overall tone me up so i will look great in my wedding dress. Do you think 6 weeks is enough time to accomplish this and what kind of schedule should i be following?

Wendy,
The best way in the next 6 weeks to loose belly fat is to do situps. There are a variety of kinds of situps you can do. It wouldn't hurt to run but the situps are what will take the inches off.

Default Losing weight.... - 02-12-2007, 07:02 PM

Hey Wendy,

In addition to running, if you really want to burn the fat, you have to start lifting some weights. You should defnitely get the support and advice of a personal trainer so you get the most out of a six week program. Nothing burns fat like the building of muscle. Once I started lifting properly, the pounds dropped right off and the body started to firm and tone its self.

Also, when you run, do it at intervals. In other words, don't just run the whole time. After running for 30 minutes, walk for 5 minutes and allow your body muscles to recover. When you start running again, you will notice improved performance.

Hope this helps and good luck!
