Default Need help - 12-11-2006, 12:25 AM

This is my first year in track, and I need help running the 800m and mile. My personal best for 800 is 3:02, and for the mile is 6:25. Now, for the mile, I get the 6:40's, and I'm around the same spot for 800. The only bad thing is that every other girl on my team are sprinters, and I rarely have long distance practice. How can I improve my 800 and mile? I would like my 800 to break 3 minutes and 1600, I would like to be in the low 6:20's. Can anyone help me?

As I always say, running makes you smart thus smart people run. You need to develope a good running plan. Long distance is where its at. You will need to put in the miles to become a great distance runner. 800m and over are distance events. Run to have fun!
