Default Cold and Wet Marathon - 12-14-2006, 03:11 AM

I would like to hear your clothing preferences for cold/raining marathon/half marathon racing. Dress too conservative and risk overheating. On the other hand, would shorts and a singlet provide enough protection from the elements?

I think this will depend on the individual to some extent. If it were me, I would get a set of disposable windbreakers and wear them on top of at least one layer of coolmax

I ran a half marathon in a cold hard rain last May. Should have been a full marathon, but I had to veer off at the half and call it a day. I wore shorts and a singlet and started getting colder and colder, then started getting the chills - even while running hard.
