Words of advice from those who have "been there"
  • Start slowly. Follow the training schedule!
  • Go at your own pace. Don't be pressured to run or walk faster than you are comfortable with.
  • Think positively. Focus on what feels good, not on what hurts.
  • Make time to work out. Set aside a specific time for your workouts and protect this time so that other commitments don't interfere with your training.
  • Congratulate yourself. After a workout, stop and think about how good you feel. Remember this feeling the next time you're not too keen about heading out.

And ice any aches and pains.
Shin splints love ice baths and heating pads.

We're not out here just for fun!
Pick 'em up, put 'em down!
Run, Devils! Run!
