Exclamation Leg pain, any Ideas? - 10-13-2007, 01:01 AM

Hello. I have had a certain leg pain for the past 2.5 months. I first noticed it when I got new shoes in early August and after a couple weeks worth of running the pain started. I took a two week break, and I came back again. I ran a couple times, I stretched before these runs and after the second run the pain was back in full blast. This next time I took 4 weeks off and I was icing it, and finally when I ran again, I got new shoes to support the arch in my right foot, it took a while for the pain to return but after my fourth run this past night, it was hurting a lot, and it is still hurting now.

I have tried rolling out the ankle and right where it hurts on my bone on my inner ankle it almost feels, when I roll over it slowly, like something is fractured or broken. It's not sore, it just hurts.

This image shows where the pain mostly resides (These are not actually my legs, it's just a reference):

That looks and sounds like it might be shin splints.

Or maybe even a stress fracture, depending on how long you've been running, or just how MUCH you've been running.

We're not out here just for fun!
