Default Half Marathon - 12-12-2006, 01:38 AM

Im thinking of taking part in half marathon. I completed a 10k 2 months ago but just want to know if a step up to another half marathon soon (15 days) after this is ok for me or not? I dont find any wrong in that but I heard that it results in injury of your knees. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

It depends how dedicated you are and just how much training you're prepared to do, but it's certainly possible to do it, and without hurting yourself too much. I ran my first ½ marathon just five months after I'd started running

Hello marathon

here is how you go for it. Keep your easy runs and your hard sessions hard. Its important that you recover from runs, build your mileage up slowly. Good luck.
