Default Lost my time and now catching up - 12-09-2006, 12:43 PM

I was out with a bad virus from Nov 12 till today. I missed the 4 mile walk and all of last weeks walks. today I started with 30 min and felt good. But now i am planning for a 5 mile walk....how do I work up to that in this week or do I cut that one short or what??? I don't think I have ever walked 5 miles in my life!!

Being out sick like that can be a bit disheartening when you are training for a walk/run of any distance. When I start feeling better I usually take a couple of easy days and then jump right back into my training.

One idea for you might be to simply give yourself the option of going the full 5miles, or heading out and keeping track of the time and turning back for home base half-way
