It's got to be the right type of shoe for your foot/gait. So for me looks/name and price are irrelevant. After that I pick the best of a small bunch.

As far as shoes is concerned I always prefer to have good quality shoes either during the training or during the race. Little compromise with the quality will lead you to the serious injury, so always look for the quality first. Also keep in mind that its not so tight in your foot too.

Thanks

There are some very sturdy road shoes that can function adequately for running. I would however expect the participants of such races to wear what they feel works best.
