Default Back after a long break - 12-08-2006, 01:51 AM

I stopped triathlon training in March this year and am now back and ready to start training again. I did not race or do any triathlon specific training all summer but I did continue to exercise 45-60 minutes a day.

I am ready to start training again and get ready for the 2007 season but I do not know the best way to get back into shape.

I think it is a good new forum to put my question. Any suggestions/help would be great.

You probably want to slowly build up your weekly hours until you are at the 10-12 hours a week. If you have not been swim, bike, and/or running, you will want to add those in slowly. The goal is to get in shape now but not do too much so that you aren't worn out by the time you want to really start your triathlon training.

Hope it helps
